If you are aged 19 years or over and thinking of starting a course at level 3 or above, you may qualify for one of the government’s Advanced Learner Loan to help fund your studies.
It is easy to apply for a loan, there is no credit check and your household income isn’t taken into account; and what’s more, you won’t have to pay anything back until you earn over £25,700 a year. Through our referral provision, you can get registered on a number of courses at Level 3 and above.
The amount you can get depends on your course, the tuition fees charged by your college or training organisation and maximum amounts set by the Government.
The minimum loan amount is £800.
You can take out a loan for the maximum amount to cover your tuition fee or you can pay all or part of the tuition fee yourself.
Student Finance England (SFE) will pay your agreed tuition fees to your college or training organisation once they’ve confirmed your attendance on the course.
Once you’ve completed your course, you’ll be eligible to apply for more 19+ Advanced Learning Loans (up to a total of four loans) to help you progress in your studies.
