Aged 16-24 and looking for your next steps or would like to get some work experience before starting an Apprenticeship programme?

By joining a Youth Programme you can get free advice, training and support into work, giving yourself a positive start to your career journey.

At Jobplus, we understand it can be challenging trying to decide what career path to take as this can be daunting, confusing and stressful. We can refer you to a personalised Youth Programme to provide people just like you with the needed guidance and support to succeed. This programme will give you career advice, sector-focused training and work-placement with employers.

A personalised programme

You will be provided with tailored career advice session to discuss your individual needs so that personalised plan can be created to help you progress further to achieve your learning and career goals with our partner provisions. The training programme is designed to give you the work experience you need to progress onto an Apprenticeship or other type of paid employment in your chosen career area.

You will gain access to work experience with an employer whilst you learn in the workplace and you will also spend some time working towards a vocational or employability qualifications. You can also improve your Numeracy and Literacy functional skills under thisprogramme.

A Traineeship can help you to build up your confidence and give you access to get a taster work-experience opportunity with an employer without the pressure of a formal recruitment interview before moving into paid role.

The Traineeship programme is tailored to your individual need so you can join as soon as you can.

You will be provided learning support to develop your skills, knowledge, vocational experience, confidence, attitudes and behaviours employers are looking for in their workforce.

Your Traineeship will last any time between six weeks and six months depending on the nature of your chosen vocational sector and work-placement requirements

Your Traineeship will include working towards recognised qualifications that will help you to progress into employment within a preferred sector of your choice

You have to be aged between 16 and 24 years old and want to succeed. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any qualifications, or didn’t get the grades you expected at school, your Traineeship will be designed around you and where you want to be in the future
