This moving and handling of people course is designed to provide care and nursing staff with the essential knowledge and understanding of the safe process of moving people to prevent injury to themselves and the person being moved, whilst also covering the legal requirements regarding the handling of people.

Our Catheterisation Course, designed for RGN’s & Care Staff, covers both theoretical and practical elements. By the end of the course attendees will be familiar with reasons for catheterisation, the equipment selection and the processes involved.

The care planning awareness course enables participants to understand the importance of care planning, their implementation and how to review them. It provides knowledge and understanding to enable candidates to work alongside other professionals and make initial assessments to meet the needs of the individual.
The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) came into force in 2007 and was designed to strengthen the protection of vulnerable adults. This was followed by The Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards (DOLS) being implemented in 2009.
